Karl Johnson

 

 
 
Born in 1945, Karl Johnson has pursued a wide range of interests. Leaving the field of investments, he spent thirty years in Film making, primarily acting and producing. During that same period he was a manufacturer and designer of commercial exercise machines, employing more than a hundred workers. These endeavors, along with other health related businesses, included ten years living, working and traveling in Africa.
 
Always the artist, Karl sculpture works in steel, stone, ceramics, glass, leather and wood, are scattered across the greater Los Angeles area, both public and private, including the Steve Allen Auditorium in Hollywood, the Pacific Lodge in Woodland Hills and Paramount Manufacturing in the City of Industry. Currently, Karl is in development with CBS Studios to showcase 15 of his sculptures in their new sculpture garden and walking path in the new CBS studio complex in North Hollywood.
