“The Good Life” is a group show featuring Wendell Wiggins’ spectacular scenes of carnival in the Caribbean juxtaposed by Lana Blades’ heart wrenching watercolors of women caught up with their babies, fleeing Katrina’s fury & the “sanctuary” of the Dome.

Featuring Jazz/Blues Musician Scott Detweiler -  his personal musical testimony on how Katrina has affected his family. Also featuring his song "Angels of New Orleans" (featured on KPFK Los Angeles - read interview)

Wendell Wiggins

Through my paintings I seek to convey optimism, excitement, exuberance and joy. Energy is an essence produced within all things. Positivity is a state of being I promote and hope will flourish. Portraying life and culture through representational images, I seek to reach beyond realism with vibrant use of color and motion. My mission is to create paintings hat are both visually and emotionally 'Moving.'”

Lana Blades

“As an artist I go through the newspaper daily, and collect photos and take my own photos. I contemplate and study each photo to consider what a great painting this would be. I see a painting coming on, I say. I try to recapture the emotion and create my own style through the medium of watercolors and various experiments with ink, fabrics, paper and natural items to enhance my work."
