As a Visual Artist, I choose to react to what interests me at a particular time and try my best to create successful art. For me, Art and Life are the same. In order to create a good painting, I must understand the principles (harmony, compositional balance, etc.) of art and design and apply these principles in order to create successful artwork. In my life, I must understand and apply the principles (virtues) of life in order to create and live my life successfully.

I draw people and incorporate my subjects into my compositions to document my surroundings, events and my ideas. Subjects are rendered realistically, within an arbitrary environment in an effort to combine realism and abstraction successfully. I am greatly influenced by the masters and studying their pictures helps me to solve my design issues. Currently, I am interested in content relating to philosophy, social issues, and my beliefs on Art.

 I understand that subject matter changes and style will evolve, so what really matters to me is the evolution of my art and the excitement of producing the next painting. Completing a well-planned, composed and executed piece is my intention. I strongly believe that using the design elements and principles creatively, and only as means to personal expression, will bring about successful artwork. I hope that my Art will bring interest, joy, and perhaps enlightenment to someone’s life.
