I am a true
environmental artist. I recycle
discarded tree limbs & branches
and transform them into
contemporary, powerful
figurative art.
{Did you
know that 40 million tons of
municipal green waste-tree
trimmings, grass clippings – end
up in our California landfills
every year?}
While a
gardener can give trees a
healthy present life, I try to
give them a productive and
beautiful afterlife. My pieces
are all influenced by the
natural patterns, colors and
structures produced by Mother
Nature.
My
materials materials are
exclusively discarded municipal
tree trimmings that are destined
for the dump, as well as
driftwood from the beach.
Each branch
that I use has a unique, subtle
curve, much like the individual
brush strokes in a painting.
When I put enough of them
together in just the right
positions, I re-create the
sticks into a sculpture that I
hope is alive, arousing and
provocative.
My artwork
and the medium I use expresses
deeply my personal belief in the
divinity of art and nature, and
the inseparable relationship
between the two.
“The
artistic soul thrives in the
never-ending inspiration that is
nature.
Enjoy
