Faro (Gagik Faradyan) was born
in Yerevan, Armenia. His
passion for art sparked when he
was five years old. After two years
of fuelling his passion, he set
out for Art School when his artwork
started to blossom. At
seven years
old Faro was already having his
artworks exhibited in galleries.
In his late teens, while serving
in the army stationed in Germany,
he became recognized as an
emerging artist. Then, he
attended Art College in
Armenia. Since then he
continues to do wood carvings
and paintings. At one time
Mahatma Gandhi visited Armenia
and greatly appreciated his wood
carvings, one of which was
gifted to the great peacemaker. It wasn’t until 1995 that he
named his original style of art
as “Modern Classic.”
From then on in, he knew that he
would walk down the path of art
forever. Faro has displayed in
many prestigious venues. In
Southern California, Faro
participated in the Beverly
Hills Open Art Show for many
years where he received
much appreciation from the art
community. He has participated
in group shows at the Northridge
Art Center, The Glendale Civic
Center and with 100 plus other
Armenian Artists at Yepremyan
Banquet Hall and especially at NoHo
Gallery LA. |
