James Fiorito was born in Chicago.  He has lived most of his life in Southern California and has a B.A. from U.C.L.A.  He has painted extensively in California and Europe.

Exhibitions have included The Société Sur-Independants exhibit at the Palais Luxembourg, Paris, Volpe’s Gallery des Ambassadeurs, Paris, a one-man show at Wexler-Weiss Gallery, Encino, the Mount St. Mary’s Gallery, the Santa Monica Museum and the Art Directors Guild show, Studio City.

He has taught Scenic Art at U.C.L.A., Santa Monica City College and has for years painted scenery for the entertainment industry.  He is currently on the board of directors for the Art Director’s Guild.
